Donated 811 toys to the Pediatric Oncology/Hematology unit at Advocate Children’s Hospital.

Valentine’s Day Toy Drive
Donated 270 toys, 250 Valentine’s Day goodie bags, and 51 Amazon $10 gift cards.
Impact: Spread love and happiness, fostering emotional well-being and social interaction among children and their families.
2024 Fall Joy Packages + Board games

Donated 306 toys, 93 Board Games, and 49 Joy Packages.
Impact: These Joy Packages and board games bring moments of joy and connection to children and families in the Oncology/Hematology clinic. By fostering emotional well-being and creating opportunities for play and social interaction, we help brighten the hospital experience for young patients and support families during their challenging journey.
2025 Easter Donation
Donated 51 Easter baskets.
For Easter 2025, Max personally delivered 51 colorful, joy-filled Easter baskets to children undergoing cancer treatment at Advocate Children’s Hospital in Park Ridge, IL. Each basket was filled with small toys, art supplies, and festive goodies to help lift spirits and spread smiles during clinic visits.
Impact:
These baskets reminded children and families that they are not alone. Max’s visit added a heartfelt touch to the donation—bringing hope, connection, and a moment of joy to kids spending the holiday in treatment.
June 2025 Park Ridge Donation
Donated 291 toys and 109 Joy Packages.
We were so grateful to return to Advocate Children’s Hospital in Park Ridge, IL in June 2025 with a generous donation of 291 toys and 109 Joy Packages for children undergoing cancer treatment.
Impact:
These donations helped bring light and laughter to kids during difficult clinic days. With hospital toy supplies often running low in the summer months, this drop-off came at just the right time—bringing joy, relief, and support to both patients and their families when they needed it most.
Spring/Summer Toy Donations
Donated 339 fun Spring/Summer toys for infants, kids, and teens at Advocate Children’s Pediatric Oncology.
Impact: Provided seasonal enjoyment, encouraging outdoor play and family bonding, and promoting physical and cognitive development.
2024 Holiday Toy Drive
Donated 559 toys.
This year, Maxwell’s Toy Box is proud to expand our support to both Advocate Children’s Hospital locations in Oak Lawn and Park Ridge. With the help of our incredible volunteers, we also wrapped 80 gifts, making the holidays extra special for these brave kids.

May 2025 ISTO Volunteer Day
Donated $300 in gift cards and hundreds of comfort items.
In May 2025, we teamed up with the amazing team at ISTO for a heart-led volunteer day dedicated to brightening the lives of children and families facing cancer. Together, they helped us assemble and donate:

85 encouragement cards
68 large Squishmallows
60 small Squishmallows
55 summer-themed Joy Kits
52 sensory kits
26 parent support kits
11 teen kits

Impact:
From cuddly Squishmallows to messages of hope, every single item from this day carried love and intention. These donations supported kids in treatment and their families by providing moments of joy, comfort during clinic days, and essentials to ease everyday burdens.
Teen Donations
Partnered with Howie’s Heart to donate encouragement paintings and 22 specific items for teens.
Impact: Supported teenage patients with personalized gifts and artwork, promoting self-expression, mental well-being, and social connections.
2025 Valentine’s Day Toy Drive

This year, Maxwell’s Toy Box was honored to partner with our incredible friends at Whiting-Turner to support children battling cancer at Advocate Children’s Hospital in Park Ridge and Oak Lawn, IL. Together, we hosted a powerful volunteer day where Whiting-Turner team members assembled:
260 Valentine’s Day goodie bags
71 coloring book sets
43 sensory toy bags
40 Newly Diagnosed Family Bags
We also donated 218 books, helping make clinic visits a little brighter for children in treatment.

These donations brought comfort, smiles, and moments of joy to kids spending Valentine's Day in the hospital. The goodie bags and activity sets helped distract and uplift children during treatment, while the Newly Diagnosed Family Bags provided vital support to parents navigating the hardest days.
June 2025 Oak Lawn Donation
Donated 188 toys and 45 Joy Packages.
In June 2025, we delivered a special drop-off to Advocate Children’s Hospital in Oak Lawn, IL, providing 188 toys and 45 Joy Packages to children undergoing cancer treatment.
Impact:
Summer is often a time when hospitals run low on donated toys—but the need doesn’t stop. This delivery helped refill toy shelves and ensured kids in treatment could still experience moments of happiness and distraction during long clinic days. These Joy Packages brought smiles, comfort, and a reminder that their community hasn’t forgotten them—even in the slower seasons.
