In 2025, Maxwell's Toy Box delivered toys, Joy Packages, and direct family support to children going through cancer treatment across Chicagoland and beyond. Here is what we built together.

Pediatric Oncology Playroom
Donated: 108 toys, including a play grocery store, accessories, a train station, PlayStation controllers, books, and board games.
Impact: Foster development and socialization, bringing a sense of normalcy and joy to children in the Pediatric Oncology Playroom.

Holiday Cheer Toy Drive
Donated: 811 toys to the Pediatric Oncology & Hematology unit at Advocate Children’s Hospital.
Impact: Brought holiday cheer and comfort, helping children and families feel connected and supported during the festive season.

Valentine’s Day Toy Drive
Donated: 270 toys, 250 goodie bags, and 51 Amazon $10 gift cards in celebration of Valentine’s Day.
Impact: Spread love and happiness, fostering emotional well-being and social interaction among children and their families.

Spring & Summer Toy Donations
Donated: 339 fun spring and summer toys for infants, kids, and teens at Advocate Children’s Pediatric Oncology.
Impact: Seasonal enjoyment, encouraging outdoor play and family bonding, and promoting physical and cognitive development.

Teenage Patient Donations
Donated: Partnered with Howie’s Heart to donate encouragement paintings and 22 specific items for teens.
Impact: Promoted self-expression, mental well-being, and social connections with personalized gifts and artwork for teenage patients.

Fall Joy Packages & Board Games
Donated: 306 toys, 93 board games, and 49 Joy Packages to Advocate Children's Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois.
Impact: Fostering emotional well-being, creating play opportunities, and social interaction in the Oncology & Hematology clinic.

Holiday Hope Toy Drive
Donated: 559 toys and 80 gifts wrapped, thanks to our incredible volunteers, making the holidays extra special for these brave kids.
Impact: These toys brought moments of joy and connection to children and families on the Oncology & Hematology floors.

Valentine’s Day Toy Drive
Donated: 438 toys, including 260 goodie bags, 71 coloring book sets, 43 sensory toy bags, 40 newly diagnosed family bags, and 218 books.
Impact: We partnered with Whiting-Turner for a Volunteer Day to support children battling cancer at Advocate Children’s Hospital in Park Ridge and Oak Lawn, Illinois.

Easter Baskets Donation
Donated: 51 Easter baskets, including small toys, art supplies, and festive goodies to help lift spirits and spread smiles during clinic visits.
Impact: Max personally delivered the colorful, joy-filled Easter baskets to children undergoing cancer treatment at Advocate Children’s Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois.

Volunteer Day with ISTO
Donated: 148 coloring kits, 85 encouragement cards, 128 Squishmallows kits, 55 summer-themed Joy Kits, 52 sensory kits, 26 parent support kits, 11 teen kits, and $300 in gift cards.
Impact: We partnered with ISTO for a Volunteer Day to support children in treatment and their families, providing moments of joy and comfort.

Donated: 188 toys and 45 Joy Packages delivered to children undergoing cancer treatment at Advocate Children’s Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois.
Impact: Refilled toy shelves to ensure kids in treatment experience moments of happiness and distraction during long clinic days.

Park Ridge Donation
Donated: 291 toys and 109 Joy Packages delivered to Advocate Children’s Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois.
Impact: With hospital toy supplies often running low in the summer months, this drop-off came at just the right time, bringing joy, relief, and support to both patients.
Every donation provides hope and joy to children battling cancer, one toy at a time.
